Journey and Joshua are having a blast on the tire swing me and William put up.  I must admit, it's pretty fun.

Well, that didn't take as long as I thought it would.  I am so happy with the way this summer sweater turned out.  The yarn is an angora blend and it is extremely light and sheer, I have on a black tank top with it.  I have gotten so many compliments today.  This was the first time I ever made a flower pin too.  I'm eager to start another one slightly different, maybe I will belt it, it's very loose fitting and comfy.

To Knit or not to Knit?

After I made the finishing touches on my sweater last night, I pulled out some knitting needles that were given to me and a "Learn to knit" book. Watching Knitty Gritty on DIY has made me a little curious. Well, I taught myself to knit last night, I haven't even attempted to purl. I pulled out some knitting needles today at work (two of my co-workers are also avid crocheters)....this did not go over well, I have been called " a traitor" and "Ben" and was looked at as if this was blasphemous! How dare I? I couldn't help it, I was so curious, and then frustrated that I HAD to do this, it couldn't be that hard, right? This is probably my 3rd attempt to learn to knit, I even taped last weeks episode of Knitty Gritty where they teach you how, and watched the technique several times in slow motion and ended up getting frustrated with it earlier this week, but I think I have the knitting part now. But it is going to take forever to finish the little scarf I am attempting to make. I could have whipped up a scarf in no time in the time that it has taken me to do make 4 inches in knit. I am trying to expand my horizons though, I think it would be cool to know how to do both. As of right now, crocheting is still my thing and I am about to make start a shrug tonight.
