I read all the comments before starting and it made me a lil afraid bcuz the comments went back and forth. I followed the pattern EXACTLY...no changes whatsoever. The words "turning chain" threw me at first. I slipped stitched in the 3rd chain and continued as normal. NO TURNING. Row 14 I did what it said * to * so it went from 7 dc to 6 dc between decreases. I wish I could send a pic bcuz I absolutely love how this hat turned out. So thank you so much for a wonderful pattern.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214954106954129231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950039709827866784.post-72158081596451357212017-05-24T15:24:56.065-05:002017-05-24T15:24:56.065-05:00I followed the pattern almost precisely and it tur...I followed the pattern almost precisely and it turned out perfect. I added one row at the part it said to make it slouchier add more rows. I only added one and it is a slouchy hat, not a beanie. Also, there is a mistake in the row that talks about 7dc and 6dc...it should have said 6dc, then decrease, the repeat to * 7dc, then decrease, then 6 dc, then decrease. So wouldn't that be 8dc?

2) the way it's written, we are supposed to dc6 then go straight to dc7...that equals 13dc. I have the required stitches (84) in Round 11, with the decreases coming out in multiples of seven, ending the round with a decrease stitch. However, when I get to the end of the 12th round, I end with the 5 dc's, but have no room for the decrease stitch, which means I've come up short with no room for my last decrease in that round.
